Rogers Centre was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Lynchburg Hornets and the Canadien Donkey Riders.

Canadien third baseman Ryan McMahon had a good game, even if his team did not. The Donkey Riders dropped a 5-4 decision to Lynchburg at Rogers Centre. McMahon went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Zach Petrick picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-8. He struck out 3 in 5 innings.

Lynchburg used the clutch hitting of Ruddy Giron to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to give the Hornets the lead, 3-0. For the game, Giron had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We'll savor this win," Giron told the Lynchburg News, "then get ready for the next game."
