The Spellborough Wizards picked up a win at Castel Sant'Angelo, knocking off the Atlantic City Illuminati, 4-1. On the mound for Spellborough was left-hander Drew Smyly, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Wizards bumped their record to 47-39 with this latest triumph.
Ronald Washington, who is tied for 5th in the EL with a .557 slugging percentage, aided the Spellborough cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Feels good to get the job done," Washington said after the game.
