Royals Lose, 7-2, at Moonbase Alpha
|
Space City starter Cole Irvin pitched effectively against the Charlotte Royals at Moonbase Alpha. The left-hander led his team to a 7-2 win. Chandler Day finished to wrap up his 1st save. With the win, Space City improves its record to 4-4.
The Moon Men got a big at-bat from shortstop Brendan Rodgers. For the game, Rodgers was 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 9th hit of the season gave Space City a 3-2 lead.
"We'll savor this win," Rodgers told the Space City News, "then get ready for the next game."
