The Columbus Legion and Deathland Weresloths put on quite a show at Turner Field.
The Legion faced a stiff challenge from Deathland pitcher Damien Magnifico, but persevered to claim a win at Turner Field. The final score was 5-3. Magnifico went 5 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Drew Storen earned his 2nd save in 3 chances.
Nomar Mazara's hit in the top of the 11th was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a changeup from Kelvin Herrera for a solo home run. It put Columbus in front, 4-3.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Mazara told the Columbus Daily.
Even with the win, the Legion have a dismal 29-54 record.
