Barrera goes 3-for-4 to Power Batterologists Offense
|
The Berkeley Batterologists topped the Pawtucket Red Sox, 10-5, in Fantasy Baseball League of Doom action at McCoy Stadium. The player of the game was Berkeley catcher Tres Barrera. Michael Lorenzen, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 4.2 innings. The Batterologists go to 46-34, putting them second in the Ellering League Hawk Division.
A key moment came when Barrera faced Pawtucket hurler Juan Hillman in the top of the fourth. The Batterologists, who were trailing 4-3, had the bases loaded. Barrera got a first pitch changeup and reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 2 runs.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Barrera.
