Muckdogs Walk It Off for 43rd Win of Season
|
Batavia turned a good effort from starter Anthony Molina into a win over the Canadien Donkey Riders at Wrigley Field. The final score was 3-2. Batavia reliever Kyle Crockett picked up the win to move to 2-2. Juan García suffered the loss. Batavia's record now stands at 43-36, placing them third in the Ellering League Animal Division.
The Muckdogs got a big at-bat from second baseman Lucius Fox. For the game, Fox went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 29th hit of the season gave Batavia a 3-2 lead.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Molina.
