The 2023 season is getting ugly for Atlantic City.

Riding the 4-hit performance of the 32-year old right fielder Wil Myers, the Pittsburgh Alleghenys stopped the Atlantic City Illuminati, 9-2. Aaron Slegers, the winner, improved to 6-5. He held the Illuminati to 1 earned run on 6 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 4.

Myers had a key at-bat for Pittsburgh early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 5th double of the season and gave Pittsburgh an early 1-0 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Myers told the Pittsburgh Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The Alleghenys bumped their record to 40-38 with this latest triumph.
