Donkey Riders Come Back Late to Top Muckdogs
|
Canadien pitcher Takahiro Norimoto did his part in helping his team beat the Batavia Muckdogs, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 7 innings, Norimoto surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Canadien is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Canadien used the bat of Michael Gettys to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Donkey Riders ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gettys.
