Hillhouse Dazzles in Batavia Win
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Batavia Muckdogs and Pawtucket Red Sox clash at McCoy Stadium.
Batavia Muckdogs starter Trevor Hillhouse turned in a top-notch performance against the Pawtucket Red Sox at McCoy Stadium. The result was a win for the Muckdogs, 4-0. Cody Allen was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 18 save opportunities.
Hillhouse, a native of Woodstock, Georgia, was dealing all game. He kept Pawtucket hitters off-balance, while giving the Muckdogs 8.1 quality innings. Hillhouse threw 100 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
"I liked his command," said Batavia manager Mike Moran. "Trevor was throwing strikes."
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Muckdogs.
