Muckdogs Clip Weresloths in Tight Contest
|
The Batavia Muckdogs topped the Deathland Weresloths, 7-5, in Fantasy Baseball League of Doom action at Wrigley Field. The player of the game was Batavia pitcher and Pembroke Pines, Florida native Anthony Molina. Batavia reliever Cody Allen picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Garrett Cleavinger took the loss. Batavia, at 39-35, occupies third place in the Ellering League Animal Division.
Tae-geun Park, who leads the EL in bases on balls with 49, chipped in for Batavia with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Park said.
