The Berkeley Batterologists got a superb performance from pitcher Easton McGee, but the Atlantic City Illuminati still won the game, 4-2. McGee was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The last-place Illuminati are now 26-48, the Batterologists 40-32.
The Illuminati got a big at-bat from center fielder Mitch Hansen. For the game, Hansen was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season gave Atlantic City a 4-2 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Hansen said after the game.
