Bull Artists Topple Wizards with Late Rally
|
Durham and Spellborough duked it out at Mage Tower Field and the Bull Artists came out victorious.
The Durham Bull Artists bested the Spellborough Wizards by a score of 6-4, with first baseman Dillon Paulson getting the main credit. On the day, Paulson went 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Bull Artists. Roman Mendez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 14 save opportunities.
The Bull Artists got a big at-bat from catcher Bryce Carter. For the game, Carter went 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 46th hit of the season gave Durham a 6-4 lead.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Paulson.
Durham is 7th in the Ellering League Hawk Division with a record of 32-40.
