Illuminati Lose to Moon Men, 9-4
|
With designated hitter Kyle Jacobsen leading the charge, the Space City Moon Men defeated the Atlantic City Illuminati, 9-4, at Moonbase Alpha. Jacobsen, who is tied for 10th in the EL in bases on balls with 72, was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Space City reliever Grayson Long was the winner. His record is now 4-0. Nick Pratto took the loss. The Moon Men bumped their record to 78-68 with this latest triumph.
The Moon Men got a big at-bat from catcher Reese McGuire. For the game, McGuire was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 87th hit of the season gave Space City a 2-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," McGuire told the Space City News.
