Collett, Royals Wallop Weresloths in Game 3 of WS
The Charlotte Royals have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Deathland Weresloths, winning 9-7 at Chase Field today. Royals catcher T.J. Collett was named player of the game after he slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win cuts the deficit facing the Royals to 2-1 in the best-of-7 World Series.

Had Jacob Hannemann not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Hannemann hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Royals.

"We were a little off-kilter to start the series, but we're getting things figured out now," Charlotte manager told reporters. "At least I hope we are."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Sonny Gray for Deathland and Carlos Rodon for Charlotte.
