Divisional Round Goes the Distance, Charlotte Prevails
It went the distance, but the Charlotte Royals finally disposed of the Neptune Fighting Penguins 5-2 in the series clincher at The Igloo.

Winning the finale gave the Royals the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the World Series.

The Most Valuable Player Award went to Charlotte second baseman Rogers Hornsby. He batted .464 in the series, collecting 3 RBIs and scoring 6 runs.

"Rogers deserves it," said Royals manager . "He was the glue that held our club together."

The Charlotte Royals will play against the Deathland Weresloths in the next round. Deathland won their series against the Pittsburgh Alleghenys 4 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
