Multi-HR Day for Sanchez as Alleghenys Overpower Bull Artists, 5-3

Behind a solid performance from right fielder Manny Sanchez, the Pittsburgh Alleghenys defeated the Durham Bull Artists, 5-3. Sanchez went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Alleghenys. Pittsburgh starter Aaron Slegers was credited with the win after throwing 92 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 12-7. C.J. Edwards converted his 32nd save in 43 tries.
Sanchez had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Alleghenys went on to win.
"We played hard and won," said Sanchez. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
