Wizards Get Close Win Over Muckdogs
|
The Spellborough Wizards topped the Batavia Muckdogs, 4-3, in Fantasy Baseball League of Doom action at Mage Tower Field. The player of the game was Spellborough pitcher Blake Snell. Phil Green converted his 16th save in 18 tries. The Wizards bumped their record to 39-27 with this latest triumph.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and two out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when shortstop Zack Prajzner, who is rated as the 55th best prospect by BNN, reached on an error by the 3B. The Wizards went on to win.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Prajzner said.
