Charlotte got a first-rate effort from pitcher Tyler Glasnow, who frustrated Deathland hitters en route to a 2-0 Royals triumph at Turner Field. Dellin Betances notched his 17th save in 17 chances. The 4th-place Royals now have a 7-game winning streak.

Glasnow, who dominated for Charlotte, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 5. Deathland batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Glasnow told the Charlotte News.
