Minier Slugs Fighting Penguins to 5-4 Win
The Neptune Fighting Penguins defeated the Charlotte Royals, 5-4, in Fantasy Baseball League of Doom action at The Igloo, with Neptune designated hitter Amaurys Minier named player of the game. Neptune reliever Altoon Coleman got the win, raising his record to 1-5. Luis Ortiz was tagged with the loss. The save went to Xiao-xuan Liang, his 16th this season.

The Fighting Penguins got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Ryan Johnson. For the game, Johnson went 1 for 1 with a double. In the bottom of the eighth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 10th double of the season gave Neptune a 5-4 lead.

"I felt good up there," said Minier. "I saw the ball well."

Neptune, at 28-27, sits in 4th place in the Ellering League Animal Division.
