Alleghenys Lose to Batterologists, 3-2
|
Berkeley starter Tyson Ross pitched effectively against the Pittsburgh Alleghenys at PNC Park. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Jose Valdez got the save, the 7th for him this season. The Batterologists bumped their record to 30-23 with this latest triumph.
In the top of the sixth inning, catcher Chris Betts came through big-time for the Batterologists. With Berkeley leading 2-0, he belted a solo home run.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Betts said after the game.
