Wizards Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
It was a good time at Mage Tower Field, where fans came to watch the Philadelphia Black Cats and Spellborough Wizards get after it.

The Spellborough Wizards picked up a win at Mage Tower Field, knocking off the Philadelphia Black Cats, 5-3. Starting pitcher Cobi Johnson played a key role in the triumph. Johnson, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 3 earned runs.

The Wizards got a big at-bat from center fielder Ronald Washington. For the game, Washington was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Spellborough a 5-2 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Washington told the Spellborough Today.

Spellborough is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 6 games.
