Donkey Riders Walk It Off for 21st Win of Season
|
Deathland got a terrific performance from pitcher Jack Conlon, but it wasn't enough to beat the Canadien Donkey Riders. Canadien won the Rogers Centre contest, 3-2. Conlon was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Canadien reliever Al Alburquerque picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Jordan Walden took the loss. The 7th-place Donkey Riders improved to 21-31.
Dazmon Cameron hit a run-scoring triple off Jordan Walden in the bottom of the tenth, which put the Donkey Riders in front, 3-2. Cameron had 2 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"Enjoyed this one," Cameron told the Canadien News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
