The Lynchburg Hornets defeated the Philadelphia Black Cats, 5-1, in Fantasy Baseball League of Doom action at Black Cats Ballpark, with Lynchburg designated hitter Eric Morton named player of the game. The winner was Zach Petrick, who threw 89 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 5 hits. The Hornets bumped their record to 30-20 with this latest triumph.

Morton had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning, when he hit a bases-clearing triple. The Hornets went on to win.
