6 Straight Wins for Boomers
|
New Vegas Boomers starter Shelby Miller was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Pawtucket Red Sox, 6-1. Miller picked up the win for New Vegas, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-2. Zack Burdi recorded his 1st save for New Vegas.
The Boomers got a big at-bat from left fielder Jeff Lynch. For the game, Lynch went 1 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave New Vegas a 2-0 lead.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Lynch.
