Alleghenys Win in Glorious Fashion
The Pittsburgh Alleghenys stopped the Atlantic City Illuminati, 7-6, behind an impressive performance from Manny Sanchez. The 27-year old right fielder made life miserable for Atlantic City pitching. He went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI. The slumping Illuminati have dropped 7 in a row.

The Alleghenys were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when center fielder Bob Russell turned a 0-1 fastball from Richard Rodriguez into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Pittsburgh a thrilling 7-6 win.

"We played hard and won," said Sanchez. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
