Wizards Turn Back Alleghenys, 5-3

Spellborough and Pittsburgh duked it out at PNC Park and the Wizards came out victorious.
The Spellborough Wizards grabbed a 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Alleghenys at PNC Park. Spellborough third baseman Miguel Sano went 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk to earn player of the game honors. Spellborough reliever Yimi Garcia picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Eric Hankins was saddled with the loss. Phil Green sewed up the save, his 12th.
The Wizards got a big at-bat from right fielder Eric Gutiérrez. For the game, Gutiérrez went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 40th hit of the season gave Spellborough a 2-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Spellborough manager Lester Norton. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Wizards bumped their record to 26-21 with this latest triumph.
