Neptune Loses, 4-3, Despite Herrera Performance

Lynchburg and Neptune duked it out at The Igloo and the Hornets came out victorious.
Neptune designated hitter Rosell Herrera was sensational. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Lynchburg beat the Fighting Penguins, 4-3. Herrera was named the player of the game despite the loss. Dan Stevens closed the game out for Lynchburg, earning his 1st save.
Carlton Fisk, the four overall pick in the 2016 draft, aided the Lynchburg cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the catcher was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Neptune manager Tony Demchak, "let me know."
Losses have been few and far between for the Fighting Penguins so far this season. Their record drops to 4-1.
