Wizards third baseman Yoan Moncada put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Batavia Muckdogs. Moncada went 4-4 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for Spellborough in the contest. The winner was Spellborough reliever Carlos Frias, now 3-0. The loser was Anthony Molina. Phil Green earned the save for Spellborough, his 11th of the year.
The Wizards got a big at-bat from second baseman Tyler Malone. For the game, Malone was 1 for 4 with a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 25th hit of the season gave Spellborough a 4-3 lead.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Moncada.
The Wizards bumped their record to 23-20 with this latest triumph.
