Weresloths Lose, 3-2, at Moles Stadium
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the New Vegas Boomers and the Deathland Weresloths, Shelby Miller was the difference-maker. The New Vegas right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Miller went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-2. David Berg earned the save, his 1st, for the Boomers.
Jose Osuna aided the New Vegas cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Miller.
New Vegas has a 3-game win streak, while Deathland has lost 3 in a row.
