Hornets Solve Black Cats, 6-3

Lynchburg and Philadelphia duked it out at Black Cats Ballpark and the Hornets came out victorious.
Lynchburg starter Zach Petrick had a strong outing against the Philadelphia Black Cats at Black Cats Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Petrick, now 4-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 3 earned runs.
The Hornets got a big at-bat from third baseman Jeimer Candelario. For the game, Candelario was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Lynchburg a 2-1 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Lynchburg manager Greg Stern.
Lynchburg, now 16-22, holds third place in the Ellering League Heidenreich Division.
