Pawtucket Red Sox starter Jefry Rodriguez was in fine form against the Canadien Donkey Riders at Rogers Centre, leading his team to a 4-2 win. The Red Sox bumped their record to 18-18 with this latest triumph.
Pawtucket used the timely hitting of Xavier Edwards to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We had a good game plan," Rodriguez said, "and we were able to execute it."
