Weresloths Get Close Win Over Wizards
|
The first-place Deathland Weresloths picked up another win at Turner Field.
Deathland Weresloths starter Sonny Gray was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Spellborough Wizards, 7-3. The win was Kelvin Herrera's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Drew Smyly took the loss for Spellborough.
The Weresloths got a big at-bat from center fielder Michael A. Taylor. For the game, Taylor went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 30th hit of the season gave Deathland a 5-3 lead.
Taylor called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
