New Vegas pitcher Raisel Iglesias did his part in helping his team beat the Canadien Donkey Riders, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Zack Burdi locked down his 2nd save. The win lifts New Vegas to a record of 17-14.
The Boomers got a big at-bat from third baseman Nolan Arenado. For the game, Arenado went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave New Vegas a 2-1 lead.
"It was just a matter of executing," said New Vegas manager James Kontra.
