The Lynchburg Hornets racked up a win at Castel Sant'Angelo, bumping off the Atlantic City Illuminati, 3-2. Aaron Blair, who started for Lynchburg, pitched effectively for his team. Josh Staumont picked up the save, his 9th. The Illuminati fall to 14-17 and continue their wobbly start to the 2022 season.

Thomas Dillard made it 1-0, Lynchburg, in the top of the ninth when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Hornets win.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Dillard told reporters after the game.
