The Batavia Muckdogs defeated the Spellborough Wizards, 9-1, in Fantasy Baseball League of Doom action at Mage Tower Field, with Batavia catcher Buster Posey named player of the game. The Wizards drop to 11-17 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2022 season.
Alex Abbott, who is rated as the 49th best prospect by BNN, aided the Batavia cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the right fielder was 2-5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Posey.
