Victory Over Muckdogs Takes Deathland to 17-8
|
Deathland turned a good effort from starter Kyle Molnar into a win over the Batavia Muckdogs at Turner Field. The final score was 4-1. Deathland reliever Mark Melancon picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Cody Poteet took the loss. The win brings the Weresloths to 17-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
The Weresloths got a big at-bat from designated hitter Felix Munoz. For the game, Munoz was 1-4. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 30th hit of the season gave Deathland a 2-1 lead.
"We played hard and won," said Molnar. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
