Spellborough right-hander Travis Lakins made an effective start against the Berkeley Batterologists at Dodger Stadium, leading his team to a 3-2 win. The Batterologists fall to 10-16 and continue their lackluster start to the 2022 season.
Miguel Sano, who leads the EL in home runs with 10, aided the Spellborough cause with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4 with a home run.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Lakins.
