Columbus Legion starter Hogan Harris pitched a strong game against the Atlantic City Illuminati at Castel Sant'Angelo, leading the Legion to a 7-3 win. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Legion hope to make a postseason run.
The Legion got a big at-bat from center fielder Aurelio García. For the game, García went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Columbus a 2-0 lead.
García called the win "a collective effort."
