Hornets Roll Over Black Cats, 11-4

The Lynchburg Hornets picked up a win at Hornets Nest, knocking off the Philadelphia Black Cats, 11-4. On the mound for Lynchburg was right-hander Aaron Blair, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 6 innings, Blair surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Brandon Waddell recorded the save for Lynchburg, his 1st of the season.
Reggie Pruitt, who is rated as the 99th best prospect by BNN, aided the Lynchburg cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
Pruitt told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
The Hornets, now 2-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
