Muckdogs Come Back Late to Clip Donkey Riders
|
The Canadien Donkey Riders and Batavia Muckdogs provided some drama at Wrigley Field.
Guillermo Aviles left his imprint on the 7-6 Batavia win against the Canadien Donkey Riders. Aviles went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Batavia reliever Jacob Lindgren picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan García shouldered the loss.
Aviles was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once against the Donkey Riders. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that scored 1 and put Batavia in front, 7-6.
"Feels good to get the job done," Aviles said after the game.
The Muckdogs, now 2-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
