Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Deathland Weresloths got the win.
Deathland Weresloths starter Sonny Gray turned in an exceptional performance against the Berkeley Batterologists at Turner Field, resulting in a Deathland win, 4-2. Gray got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Gray allowed 2 earned runs.
Had Corey Seager not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Seager hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Weresloths.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Gray.
The Weresloths raised their record to 14-5.
