Red Sox Win at New Vegas, 5-1

Fans at Moles Stadium were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown New Vegas Boomers take on the Pawtucket Red Sox.
Pawtucket starter Juan Hillman put a stranglehold on the New Vegas offense. The left-hander had complete command of his change up in leading the Red Sox to a 5-1 win. Hillman, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run.
The Red Sox got a big at-bat from first baseman Hank Greenberg. For the game, Greenberg was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Pawtucket a 2-0 lead.
"Juan is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Pawtucket manager David Larence.
The Red Sox, now 2-0, have stormed out of the gates.
