Boomers Reel Off Another Win
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of New Vegas fans at Moles Stadium.
A 4-RBI performance from designated hitter Tim Walter, who is rated as the 2nd best prospect by BNN, led the New Vegas Boomers to a 7-2 win over the Atlantic City Illuminati. The win was credited to David Berg in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Patrick Raby took the loss.
Ryan Casteel, who is a two-time All-Star, aided the New Vegas cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Enjoyed this one," Casteel told the New Vegas Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The Illuminati fall to 7-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2023 season.
