Moon Men Walk It Off for 9th Win of Season

The Space City Moon Men eked out a 3-2 win versus the Atlantic City Illuminati at Moonbase Alpha. Nobody did more than pitcher Marcus Stroman, who captured player of the game honors. Space City reliever Rex Brothers picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Chris Lewis absorbed the loss. The Illuminati fall to 7-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2023 season.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Mike Trout came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Atlantic City pitcher Chris Lewis, he hit a 2-2 cutter for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Space City on top, 3-2.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Stroman.
