Wizards Prevail, 4-3, Over Columbus

Both teams had their chances, but the Spellborough Wizards eventually prevailed at Legion Ballpark.
Spellborough starter Martin Perez pitched effectively against the Columbus Legion at Legion Ballpark. The left-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Perez picked up the win for Spellborough, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 10-8. Tyler Kolek got the save, his 10th in 12 chances.
Spellborough used the timely hitting of Zack Prajzner to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Wizards on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Prajzner.
Spellborough currently is in last place in the Ellering League Animal Division at 62-82.
