Weresloths Lose Despite Taylor's Valiant Effort
Deathland got a terrific performance from center fielder Michael A. Taylor, but it wasn't enough to beat the Neptune Fighting Penguins. Neptune won the Turner Field contest, 14-6. Taylor was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Neptune starter Grant Holmes was credited with the win after throwing 96 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 12-5. Altoon Coleman was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 4 save opportunities.

Carlos Correa, who is on pace for 113 RBI this season, helped out the Neptune cause in the top of the ninth inning with a bases-clearing double. For the game, the shortstop was 3 for 6 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Correa.
