Seager Goes Off, But Bull Artists Win
|
Despite a fine performance by second baseman Corey Seager, the Deathland Weresloths suffered a 9-7 loss to the Durham Bull Artists. Seager belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Alex Reyes earned the win to go to 10-9. He allowed 4 earned runs on 3 hits, with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. Joe Ortiz got the save, his 7th in 7 chances.
Rosell Herrera, who is a five-time All-Star, helped out the Durham cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Durham skipper Kevin Feasel.
The Bull Artists now have a record of 65-73 with the win over Deathland.
