The Spellborough Wizards got a superb performance from pitcher Martin Perez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pawtucket. The Red Sox won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Perez was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Pawtucket reliever Paco Rodriguez picked up the win, upping his record to 8-3. Hever Bueno shouldered the loss. Pawtucket has 3 straight wins, Spellborough 3 straight losses.

Travis Blankenhorn was the walk-off hero for Pawtucket. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Red Sox pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We did enough to win," said Blankenhorn.
