Legion Lose Again, 5-2, to Batterologists
|
Berkeley catcher Austin Allen was instrumental in his team's 5-2 win over the Columbus Legion. Allen went 2-3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Batterologists. Berkeley reliever Jose Cisnero picked up the win to move to 4-1. Jharel Cotton suffered the loss. Columbus's current losing streak has reached 7 games.
Allen had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Jharel Cotton, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Batterologists a 4-2 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Allen.
"I felt good up there," said Allen. "I saw the ball well."
