A 4-RBI performance from Reggie Pruitt, who is rated as the 99th best prospect by BNN, helped the Lynchburg Hornets beat the Durham Bull Artists, 6-4. Justus Sheffield, credited with the win, is now 5-1. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings. Josh Staumont notched his 32nd save in 36 chances.

Pruitt contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Lynchburg in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Pruitt took a fastball from Brett Lilek and stroked the home run to right. His 25th home run of the season allowed the Hornets to leap in front, 4-2.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Lynchburg manager Greg Stern.
